Christian Doeller is a visual artist, artistic researcher and educator. His practice develops at the intersection of perception, philosophy, scientific research and technological change. With his generative images, sculptures, participatory formats and process-based installations, he is exploring entanglements and transitions between physical and digital realities. He investigates the foundations, limits and readjustments of perception, relationships and dependencies in human-machine interactions and the social effects of digitisation processes. Coming from from the context of photography, he is generally involved with technical sensors and their potential for translating, observing and interpreting environmental phenomena. Christian Doeller is a research associate at the chair for Media Environments at the Bauhaus-University Weimar and a member of the curatorial team at KV - Kunstverein Leipzig. He lives and works in Leipzig.
